IDOR FAMILY||DAY IN THE LIFE|| BUCHAREST FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

Welcome to my Documentary Family Photography blog. I am normally a London family photographer, but from time to time I get to travel to wonderful places around the world while documenting families and their stories.

Today’s session is of a family I photographed in Romania, which was quite nice since I have a bit of history with Romania. 🙂

The session was a full Day in the Life session, which means that I got to spend a whole day with them, photographing their morning and evening routines, their joys, their tears and all the in-between moments. We went to The Comana Adventure Park, which is one of their favourite place to spend a Saturday, ate ice cream, danced ballet (while eating ice cream), went on a boat ride with a buggy (only in Romania!) and did many, many other fun things.

I love this family! I photographed Adina and Iosif’s wedding eight years ago and it was such a blessing to get to photograph their new adorable family.

I love how much the girls interact with each other. I love that dad is totally outnumbered and loving it. I love the way they do their prayers at night – the girls remind me of my kids and all the crazy positions they get into during their prayers. In the end it doesn’t matter; God listens anyway. It was such a great experience and I loved every moment of it.

I know that having a photographer with you for a full day sounds crazy and scary to a lot of people, but do this gave me a chance to create a series of photographs that will always remind the Idor family of this time in their life: beautiful, not always easy, but totally worth it!

I’ll only post some of my favourite photos from the session, but if you want to see more, check out their slideshow at the end of the post. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
